A few weeks ago, we welcomed the social media phenomenon, Food Review Club, to our restaurant in Coventry to try out some of our most popular menu items. Having spent the last 6 years travelling the UK in search of the best grub, it’s safe to say Food Review Club knows good food! If you missed the review on Instagram earlier this month, keep reading as we walk you through how it went down.
In Case You Missed It: Food Review Club
Food Review Club, founded by Matthew Binge, has earned a huge online following by reviewing some of the most popular restaurants and hidden gems the UK has to offer. So, it only made sense that we invited him to one of our Wing Kingz locations to try out some of the meals that have made our restaurants so popular.
What Did He Eat?
It’s no surprise that Food Review Club went all out when ordering. He went for our famous Buttermilk Wings in the Prince Buffalo sauce, the mouthwatering Chick ‘N’ Cheese burger, Cheesy Garlic Bread, Cajun Fries, and some Blue Cheese dip. To wash it all down, he paired his meal with a cold pint of our Kingz Lager.
He started off with the buffalo wings, showing us his expert wing-eating technique by pushing the bone into his palm, separating the meat from the bone, and dunking it in plenty of Blue Cheese dip. Like a pro! “Oh my god, that’s good”, He commented before moving on to the Cheesy Garlic Bread and Chick ‘N’ Cheese burger.
Clearly excited at just the sight of the burger, he made sure to take a huge first bite. After going in for another, he said, “So crispy, I had to take another bite… that’s lit!” All the signs suggest he approved of the Wing Kingz flavour, but let’s find out the final rating.
What Did He Rate It?
After a whistlestop tour of some of our menu highlights, it was time for Food Review Club’s rating out of 10. He took a swig of Kingz Lager, took a deep breath and decided on a score of 8.6! Of course, we think each item is a 10/10, but that score puts us alongside some of the most highly-regarded restaurants in the UK!
